SENIORS SELF-CONTAINED
The five apartment buildings, referred to as manors, are perfect for the independent, on-the-go senior. There are 16 duplex-style homes with individual entrances. Each duplex has its own washer and dryer in a laundry/storage room.

Rent
Rent is based on 30% of the household’s gross income. The maximum rent for a 1 bedroom apartment or duplex is $900.00. Included in the rent is heat, water/sewer, and laundry facilities. The electricity, parking, internet, phone and cable are the tenant’s responsibility.

- 65 years of age or older
- Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
- Functional independence (able to manage own cooking, cleaning, laundry, and interact socially with others)
- An assessment of the application form, medical report and income threshold

Trochu Valley Manor consists of a secure, single-storey building with 20 apartments and 4 duplexes, making 28 suites in all. One of the duplexes is barrier free, while the Trochu Valley Manor is a barrier free location. The lounge areas provide an opportunity to socialize and include a kitchen, shuffleboard table, a patio and BBQ. The tenants in the apartment building share 2 laundry rooms. The duplexes contain in-suite laundry facilities. Most of the tenants are responsible for electrical hookup. Several garden boxes are available in the spring.
